$48 Million Verdict

This was a civil lawsuit brought on behalf of six plaintiffs against the Mountain View School District for negligently supervising a teacher who sexually abused elementary school students. The plaintiffs were in the 4^th and 5^th grade at the time of the abuse while attending Miramonte Elementary School. The jury returned an award of $48 Million with a majority of the fault on the school.
