$21.3 Million Verdict

Disputed Liability rear-end auto accident 10-12 MPH impact. Plaintiff sued a Fortune 500, billion-dollar company whose primary business was food distribution, after one of their trucks hit her from behind after stopping short of her mini-van. Plaintiff was able to prove that the truck driver was at fault, despite the company’s years long denials and arguments to the jury that the Plaintiff was the one at fault and should get nothing. The jury sided with the Plaintiff and unanimously awarded her $21,300,000.  Due to a CCP 988 statutory offer that the plaintiff’s made years before, the total judgment was over $30,000,000 which the Defense paid within 30 days.
